documentary = documentary

Mockumentary = film and television genre in which a subject is discussed as in a documentary, but not necessarily based on fact. Usually through parody or satire.

During this workshop we will make short mockumentaries. We will start the workshop by watching some excerpts from mockumentaries to get a feel for the style. Then we will delve into “being normal” in front of the camera. How to come across as real as possible while saying and doing things that are “abnormal. In mockumentaries, the characters have to seem real. Even if the audience knows the movie or series is fiction.

After the camera acting part, we come up with short scenarios that we film directly in the style of mockumentary. We will work with the theme of horror/suspense and will provide a lot of suspense in the short films. Finally, you will receive an invitation to work as a guest or crew member on our longer mockumentary episodes that we will make during the project MOK during this season.
